Inspiration: 40 “blue” websites for a more comforting web

It’s elegant, relaxing and in color-psychology it represents business stability and trustworthiness: is that why blue, along with red, is the most used color in web design?
It’s certain that many companies choose blue as their business color, as well as use nature-based images (look at the wide use of the sky, clouds and oceans): blue, in all its shades, is in fact a conciliatory color and for this reason it’s an undisputed protagonist in websites for travel agencies, tourist attractions and wellness centers.

As if that weren’t enough, being an elegant color that inspires trust, it’s strategically used by businesses that in some way deal with security: take a look at the website of  Sonur, a company that produces anti-theft systems (website #13) as well as the site of Tablete, which advertises a brand of contraceptives (website #14). In both cases the fundamental concept is one and the same: Security. Do you think it’s just luck that these websites are blue? I don’t.
